Commodity & blended thermoplastics
Polypropylene and its compounds are the workhorses of injection moulding. They are light, tough and economical, stand up to water and many chemicals, and take colour right through the part. Where a standard grade is not enough, talc- and glass-filled compounds add stiffness and strength, and flame-retardant grades meet electrical requirements.
